In this study, we will explore the influence of Marseilles in Parisian football history and its impact on the Greenwood number of shots. Marseilles is one of the most successful French football clubs in recent history, having won the Ligue 1 title eight times and the Coupe de France four times. The club has produced many talented players who have gone on to have successful careers in other countries, including Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, and Paul Pogba.
Marseilles' success can be attributed to their efficient goal-scoring ability. In the study,Serie A Stadium it was found that Marseilles had a higher average number of shots per game than many other top-flight French clubs. This suggests that they were able to take more shots and convert them into goals, leading to a high number of shots on target (SOT) and a low percentage of missed opportunities.
However, despite their impressive performance in terms of shots on target, Marseilles did not have the highest number of shots or SOT among the clubs studied. This could be due to various factors such as player fitness levels, defensive strategies, and tactical decisions made by the coaching staff.
