Tomas Oliveira Amador de Sousa, commonly known as Otamendi, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays as a centre-back for the Portuguese club Benfica and the Brazil national team. Born on March 15, 1992, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Otamendi began his professional career with São Paulo F.C. before moving to Benfica in 2014.
