In 1984, Otfiendi joined Benfica, the club he would go on to play for until his retirement in 2017. The Portuguese forward went on to become one of the most successful goal scorers in European football history. His goal-scoring prowess earned him the nickname "The Godfather" because of his ability to score big goals.

However, it wasn't all success for Otfiendi. He suffered through injuries and personal struggles during his career, which included several knee ligament tears and back issues. Despite these setbacks, he continued to excel on the pitch, scoring over 100 goals for Benfica.

Today, Otfiendi is considered one of the greatest goal scorers of all time, having scored over 100 goals for Benfica and the entire Portuguese national team. His legacy lives on, and he remains one of the most influential players in the history of football.
